Sensitive Content Publishing Policy

The Vicdan Foundation's Sensitive Content Publishing and Privacy Policy is established to ensure the careful handling of topics such as psychological support, legal cases, and victim narratives discussed in the foundation's events. Since these types of content can directly impact individuals' privacy and security, it is crucial to respect participants' rights during the recording, sharing, and safeguarding of this content. Protecting participants' personal privacy, creating a secure environment in sensitive situations, and preventing unauthorized sharing are fundamental principles of this policy.

1. Scope

This policy covers the broadcasting, recording, and sharing of sensitive content on social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter/X, etc.), including training sessions, seminars, live broadcasts, online meetings, and other events conducted by the Vicdan Foundation. It also includes guidelines for taking photographs, videos, and audio recordings during physical events, as well as recording and sharing video/audio content from online meetings and events.

2. Definition of Sensitive Content

Sensitive content is defined as information, data, or events addressed in the Vicdan Foundation's events, broadcasts, or other activities that can directly affect or harm individuals' privacy, security, and physical or psychological well-being. When publicly disclosed or shared, sensitive content may lead to adverse outcomes such as trauma, loss of reputation, or violations of privacy for individuals.

Topics Considered as Sensitive Content:
  • Psychological Support Topics: Sessions, consultations, or one-on-one support related to individuals' mental health, psychological conditions, and traumas.

  • Legal Cases: Cases related to crimes, victimization, investigation, and prosecution processes, along with the personal information of those involved.

  • Information Regarding Children and Youth: Any personal information, voice, images, or stories related to participants under the age of 18.

  • Information on Refugees and Vulnerable Groups: Stories, personal information, and sensitive situations concerning migrants, refugees, and individuals in distress.

  • Victim Narratives: Stories related to physical, psychological, or economic violence and abuse cases, including those involving victims of emergency decrees or incarcerated individuals.

Sharing such content is only permitted with the explicit consent of the individuals involved, and all necessary privacy and confidentiality measures are taken. Misuse of sensitive content can harm individuals' rights and safety; therefore, the Vicdan Foundation handles the protection of such content with the utmost seriousness.

3. Social Media Live Broadcast and Online Meeting Policy
Multi-Platform Use:

The foundation conducts broadcasts on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter/X, particularly for sensitive content like seminars, psychological support sessions, and meetings related to legal cases. To reach a wide audience, carefully crafted interaction methods are used according to the sensitivity of the content.

Live Broadcasts and Meetings:

Technical preparations are made to ensure uninterrupted and high-quality broadcasts. When announcing the broadcasts in advance, information is provided about the nature of the sensitive content and the consent of the participants. Ethically addressing sensitive topics such as legal cases, psychological content, and post-trauma support meetings is of great importance.

Interaction Methods:

In sensitive content broadcasts, questions and comments from participants are handled carefully by moderators. Any questions or interactions that could harm participants or contain personal or traumatic elements are closely monitored by the responsible team.

4. Physical Events and Recording Policy
Recording and Consent:

For sensitive content physical events and online meetings where photographs, videos, or audio recordings are to be taken, prior written consent is obtained from participants. Particularly for meetings related to legal cases or psychological support, participants must be informed and provide their consent if recordings are to be made.

Privacy and Anonymity:

Participants' privacy is prioritized. In meetings related to legal cases, relatives of victims, or psychological support sessions, participants have the right to request anonymity of their images or voices. Participants are informed in advance about the recording and usage of these recordings.

Secure Storage:

Sensitive content recordings are stored in secure environments such as physical disks, flash drives, or cloud accounts. These recordings are only stored according to the foundation's specified protocols and are not allowed to be transferred to personal devices.

Protection of Participants Under 18:

Recordings and photographs of participants under the age of 18 will not be taken or shared on any platform. The foundation is fully committed to ensuring the privacy and safety of non-adult participants. Content involving minors will not be recorded or shared without the written consent of the participant or their guardian.

5. Photo, Video, and Audio Sharing
Sensitive Content Events:

Photos, videos, and audio recordings taken at events containing sensitive content, such as psychological support meetings or seminars related to legal cases, are only shared with the consent of the participants. Unauthorized use or sharing of such content is strictly prohibited.

Sharing Rules:

Sensitive content shared must align with the mission and ethical guidelines of the foundation. Content related to legal cases, victimization, or psychological support sessions must not violate participants' rights. Care is taken to act with sensitivity in these matters.

6. Protection of Personal Data
Participant Warning:

During live broadcasts, online meetings, or physical events involving sensitive content, participants are warned not to share personal information such as names, surnames, cities they live in, or workplaces. Sharing such data in legal cases or psychological support meetings could jeopardize participants' personal safety.

Promotion of Anonymous Participation:

Participants in sensitive content meetings are provided the opportunity to join anonymously. This encourages the protection of their personal data and confidentiality of their identity.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications

Artificial intelligence applications may be used for recording and summarizing during sensitive content meetings and events organized by the foundation. However, the use of these applications is communicated to participants in advance, and their consent is obtained. Sensitive personal information and content are processed according to the privacy standards set by the foundation.

8. Content Removal and Deletion Requests
Right to Withdraw Consent:

Participants have the right to request the removal or deletion of sensitive content even if they have given prior consent. This includes requesting the removal of their image, voice, or photos from publications or the complete deletion of the recordings.

Removal and Deletion Procedure:

In response to removal requests, the foundation prioritizes preserving the broadcast by only deleting the content involving the requesting participant. If this is not possible, the entire broadcast involving the participant is fully removed. After the content is removed, related links and posts on social media and other platforms are updated or completely removed.
