Within the scope of the Conscience Foundation's Conscience Academy project, Media Ombudsman Faruk Doğruci shared his lesson titled "Media Literacy" with the participants on Wednesday, June 5. The event took place on the online platform and was met with great interest from the participants.
In his presentation, Faruk Doğruci discussed in detail the importance of media literacy, the effects of media on society and ways to access accurate information. The course aimed to increase participants' knowledge and awareness of media literacy.
During the event, Doğruci shared how the media works and important tips on the correct use of the media. He also discussed how media literacy can help individuals develop their ability to think consciously and critically. The presentation, supported by examples from media literacy studies around the world, offered a broad perspective to the participants.
At the end of the lecture, participants asked Faruk Doğruci questions on various topics and an interactive question-answer session was held. This section enabled participants to understand the subject more deeply and gave them the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about about media literacy.
Faruk Doğruci's lecture encouraged raising awareness on access to accurate information, critical thinking and media literacy, in line with the mission of Conscience Academy. When the event ended, the participants thanked Doğruci for his valuable contributions and left to participate in future events.
