This week, the young people’s support visit to Syrian-origin tradesmen in Başakşehir stood out as a conscientious act. The young people stated that they were in solidarity with Arab tradesmen and that they stood against discrimination against them. It is the duty of all of us to share the pain of those who fled persecution and took refuge in our country and to support them.
This visit gave a message of unity and brotherhood in society, while reminding us of the importance of standing against discrimination. This attitude of the youth showed how valuable it is to support each other in difficult times. It is the responsibility of all of us to stand against discrimination and help oppressed people for peace and tranquility.
As the Vicdan Foundation, we hope that such conscientious behaviors will increase and find more response in society. This exemplary behavior of our youth inspires us all and shows how valuable the steps to be taken for a more just and brotherly world are.
Conscience is our most powerful guide to doing what is right. We can all do good things for humanity by listening to our conscience, as these young people did.
